Have the Supernatural God as your life’s co traveler

Some people are worshippers of nature. For them the awesome nature looks as if they are Gods. For the Hindus, earth is a God, Sun is God, Air is God, Fire is a God, river is God, rain is God, the planets are Gods. Some of the animals are also Gods. For them Hanuman (a monkey figure) is a powerful God, snake is a very important God(in which form Satan deceived Eve to commit sin against God), cow is also God, some birds are also worshipped. Statues representing their nature are regularly worshiped by the Hindus expecting favour and to avoid bad things from them.

When God created all the things of nature for the congenial living of the man and after creating the nature finally the man to live and use them, God only said they are good. While creating man, “God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” “God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26,28

The worship of nature by men is the work of the devil because by this he can separate the men form God . He made them worship the created things and ignore the Creator.

The one biggest thing God hates is to see His people worshipping the images of things created by Him. He separated Abraham from the region of Mesopotamia, a land of worshippers of many Gods, the land of Polytheists and asked him to go to the land of Canaan, and promised to bless His generation. He also promised to Abraham that He would bless all nations of the world through Abraham’s seed, referring to the birth of Jesus Christ from his lineage. Abraham worshipped Jehovah, the One God, the God of creation and the loving Father of all. The Monotheism of Abraham is the way of true worship of God.

Jesus Christ said, if you have the faith of mustard seed size and believe God in your heart and say to the mountain to get uprooted and fall into the sea, it will obey. That is the authority God has given to us over nature. We sea Jesus Christ showing this authority over Air and water on two occasions.

Mark 4:35-41 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

If jesus Christ is with you in your life's journey, He will take care of all situations. Some times you might have gorgotten His presence due to the calamity. But if thee is crisis call upon His name, He will bring all situations under His control and You will wonder at His unimaginable powers.

God fulfills all His words....defeating every effort of the devil

God’s words are challenges to the Satan. Even if it is thousands of years old God makes it happen for the good of His people. He has seen them happening thousands of years back and gives the prophecies. Even if the devil comes on the way to defeat God triumphs

God decided in His mind that He would make the Messiah to be born in Bethlehem in Judea. He also saw where He should grow, the beautiful lands near Nazareth in Galilee. He said it out through the mouths of His prophets Micah, Isaiah and Zechariah as below.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Micah 5:4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. Micah 5:5 And He shall be the source of peace.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH(In Hebrew Nazarene); and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

Zechariah 6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

See, God making it happen....

What God decided in His mind happening in spite of every efforts of the Satan to defeat it.

Mary and her husband were living at that time in Nazareth. Just when the time of birth was nearing, God made the King Augustus to order for the census and the to make sure that none is missed out of the census, he ordered that every one must register their name in the place to which they originally belong. Since Joseph was in the lineage of David, and belongs to Bethlehem and inspite of Mary being in the last stage of delivering a child, he travelled nearly 100 kilometers and was in Bethlehem just at the delivery time. This is how God meticulously carries out His plans.

MODEL GIVEN Y LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR MINISTRY

Every where Jesus Christ went, He did three things

1. He preached about the Kingdom of God which is the gospel

2. He healed the people of all diseases.

3. He chased away the evil spirits of Satan which were in them and set them free.

Jesus Christ never settled in one particular place. Even though crowds of people were not leaving

Him to go, and wanted them to stay with them, He literally escaped from them at darkness as He had to go all villages.

The three parts of His ministry to the people continued during the entire 3 years.

Just see the following illustrative incidents from Mark 1:23-45

1. Mark 1:21,22 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. Preaching about the Kingdom of God

2. Mark 1:23-26 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. (Driving away demons living in men)

3. Mark 1:29-34 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them. And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. (Healing the sicknesses and chasing away the devils)

4. Mark 1:35-38 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth. (Escaping from one village and going to the next village)

5. Mark 1:39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. (Preaching about the Kingdom of God and chasing away the devils)

6. Mark 1:40-44 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. (Healing the sicknesses)

The above way is the model given by the Lord to us to take His love to others. It s a combination of package God has provided to the people. We must take it together and combined to the people . And we should not be settling down in one place. It has to be taken to all villages and town.

Do you imagine so many things and and having fear or anxeity

Many people are anxious about so many things....They avoid doing many things because of the fear and unnecessary imagination and due to this they altogether avoid it. God’s man Samuel has a solution for this . There is need for Israel and a king is to be appointed. Saul and his servants were sent by Saul’s father to search the lost asses. When they reached the place called Zuph, they get the news that there is one Prophet called Samuel who has come to that place and he can tell the way to go to go.

The previous night God had told Samuel that He will send the man called called Saul and Samuel has to anoint him as the King. When Samuel saw Sal coming towards him, God said in his ears, “Behold the man of whom I spoke to you this man will rule over my people.” I Samuel 9:17.

1 Samuel 9:18-22 Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer's(Prophet’s) house is. And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart. And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house?

And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?

(This is the thoght of inferiority many people have.But Samuel gives the cure)  

And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the parlor, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.

Therein front of the people in that place Samuel only told Saul confidentially and only secretly anointed Saul, and later God creates the right time to anoint him as the king.

But before sending Saul back Samuel gives him a very useful advice which is relevant for all to keep in mind so that we never imagine unnecessarily many things and avoid taking up responsibilities.

1 Samuel 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?

1 Samuel 10:2 When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel's sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

1 Samuel 10:3 Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine:

1 Samuel 10:4 And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.

1 Samuel 10:5 After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

1 Samuel 10:6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

1 Samuel 10:7 And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

See the last word. Thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

We need think about many things well in advance as to how to do it or whether I can do it and so on. A man like who said to Samuel the “He is from a least family” had certainly started imaging many tings about the responsibility and fear conquered him.

But this is the advice for such people, “Do not imagine anything about what you will do or how you will do. Do according to the occasion demands. Do not leave aside good things out of fear. Go ahead . According to the need of the work you have to do, do what you have to do at the spot where you have to do it.

Also remember what God is doing for you without yourself knowing it.

1 Samuel 10:9 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart:

When we do God’s will God interferes and gives another mind to do that job.

Do you seek comforts?

Mary, with the child in her womb and Joseph had to face the tedious journey. Because the place Bethlehem was full of people who came for the census, they had no place to stay. An inn keeper out of mercy for the pregnant woman gave a shed where no humans would have stayed before. It may be temporary shed having a manger where Mary made her baby to sleep covering the new born baby with swaddling cloth. May be God wanted to know the world His simplicity and tells us by this we are not to seek comforts of big houses and palaces but content with what we get. Should we seek great comforts in our life when Lord Jesus Christ was not bothered about the places where he was born or slept?

We are not strangers to one another

For God there are no borders in the world. For Him there is one world.

Therefore it is not right for some one to say that Jesus Christ is a Jew and Christianity is a foreign religion.

In the New Testament of the Bible we start reading at the beginning the genealogy from Abraham to Joseph. But the Bible very clearly tells Mary was conceived of Holy Ghost.

But the genealogy gives us the way God is intervening in the lives of men and women to achieve His purposes. Who is the lady or wife in question, has not been always an important issue for God in His leading of the Israel people. Judah, picked up Thamar, a widowed daughter in law; Boas picked up Ruth an align widowed girl from Moab, David picked up Uriya’s wife. God is able to make use of any man or woman for His purposes. God picked up Mary to bear Jesus Christ in her womb, His anointment only makes any one in the world suitable for His purposes.

All who were born after Adam and Eve are sons and daughters of Men. But Jesus Christ was Son of God and also Jesus Christ was God Himself.

This Jesus Christ can not be called a Jew or foreigner by any one belonging to any country in the world. Jesus Christ belongs to all races in the world. Father of Jesus Christ is not a Jew, but He was existing as God from everlasting to everlasting with the angels. After the fall of the angels who took side with Beelsebab, and got the name Satan and evil Spirits God willed to create man in His image to worship Him.

God created the world for the man and finally the first man Adam and his wife Eve. The genealogy in the Gospel of Luke starts even from the first man Adam, who and his wife Eve fell into the sin of disobedience by falling into the snares of Satan and the sinful nature passed on to all human beings, and all not living according to the will of God but all leading their life on their own will.

Why God is recording the genealogies. If it is possible for every one in the world to write his or her genealogy…your name, son of your father’s name, who was son of your grand father’s name….and so..on ultimately it will reach Noah, and link to Adam. The genealogy recorded by God in the gospel of Mathew and John are to make us think we are also linked upto Adam who was created By God. Therefore we are not strangers to one another. We have a common ancestry.

If as countries, we fight wars we go to destroy our own brothers and sisters. The hatred between the terrorists and their sponsors in Iraq, Afghan and other Arab countries and the Christian countries like USA, UK and the NATO, the ethnic wars in countries like Sri Lanka and the countries which were once under Soviet Union now having many internal conflicts, the innumerable killings in Europe in the name of religion were because all do not know  that we have one God who created us all and we are all a very large family living in this whole world.And we do not have fear of that God who created us that we kill one aother.

All the commandments of God are compressed into two commandments by Lord Jesus Christ, which reads as follows. “Love your Lord God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your strength and with all your mind and love your neighbor as you love yourself.” And truly we can link all our sins to these two commandments and we can not commit any sin if we follow these two commandments. You can think of any sin, we break the above commandment the moment we commit any sin.

And the only way we can show our love to God is by worshipping Him all our life in Spirit and Truth. We also show our love towards God is by loving every one in the world with the same love God loves them.

Give respect and reverence to the Bible..it is very important

When you look at the Bible, look at it with the thought that it is the only book in the world which is to be venerated.

It is above all the books…

It gives wisdom to every one who read it…

It tells the ways to heaven…

It gives eternal life to every one, and saves them from hell fire…

It has to be touched , received and placed on the hands with respect…

No other book should be kept above it even in an shelves or on the table…

Do not keep things like spectacles or handkerchief over it.

In the church do not keep it on the floor when you stand. That is not the place for it. Always keep it on your hand. Even if the Pastor asks you keep the Bible on the floor and ask you to lift your hand, don’s follow the instruction, your Bible should be at a respectable place. If you keep it on the floor soon your legs may be touching it..

Any preacher, however great he may be, if he says any word, which will make you dishonor the Bible, reject that teaching.

It is the book for every one in the world given by God, written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20,21 No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation, for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.)

God made it to exist intact over thousands of years .( Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one title of the law to fail.)

Some people keep it in some corner of the house, but rarely read it. On the other hand they read any written book or waste hours and hours before TV and computer. It is a terrible mistake. If we ignore the Bible and do not read it, every where in life we will face problem. Hosea 4:6 M y people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected the word of God(Bible), I will also reject thee, that thou shall be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

If we do not read the Bible we will stop praising the GOOD God, but go for favour to the evil men and praise the evil men. If you depend on man, the cause is that you have rejected the Bible. Proverbs 28:4 They that forsake the Bible praise the wicked

Bible is the light to all people in this dark world. Proverbs 6:23 For the commandments in the Bible is the lamp; and the Bible light; and reproofs of instruction contained in it are the way of life: 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Those who keep on reading it will be blessed. Psalms 1:2 Blessed is the man …….whose delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law(Bible) doth he meditate day and night.

Psalms 119:70 The heart of the evil one who do not follow is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy Bible.

Psalms 119:113 I hate vain thoughts: but thy Bible I love.

Psalms 119:165 Those who love thy Bible have great peace: and no sin shall take over them.
